The Senior Operations Research Analyst will lead technical projects as part of a large interdisciplinary team responsible for carrying out operational risk and performance assessments as well as the development of innovative analytical and training software.
The Analyst will lead multiple, concurrent analytical and/or software projects for internal and external clients. They will develop project plans including objectives, methodology, deliverables, schedule, and staffing. In addition, they will build and/or oversee the development of models, simulations, analytical reports, and custom tools and ensure technical quality of products delivered to internal and external clients. In addition, the Analyst will help identify and develop new technical capabilities and business.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, quantitative social sciences, or related discipline.
- 3-7+ years’ experience leading operations research, modeling and simulation, or data analytics projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Visual Studio, C#, agent-based modeling, GIS, R, Python, Tableau, the Unity Gaming Engine, Jira, and Bitbucket.
- Proven success working with clients to identify and solve problems while shaping future business.
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
Desired Requirements:
- Master of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, quantitative social sciences, or related discipline.
- Previous experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, or Department of Homeland Security.
- Software project management experience and certification.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
