Oracle Developer

Marathon TS is seeking an Oracle Developer to join our team. This position is fully remote. In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the DevOps team for a US Gov't department wide procurement system. The Oracle Developer will perform troubleshooting and defect resolution in support of production issues, as well as supporting COTS upgrades via regression testing of custom development modules. Development activities would include PL/SQL development in support of reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking for room to grow and it offers an opportunity to learn from more senior members of the team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and defect resolution in support of production issues.
• Work with end users and functional analysts to capture and document business requirements.
• Perform unit, system and regression testing for both COTS upgrades and custom development modules. Support functional testing efforts.
• Create / modify PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers and other Oracle objects in support of report requests, interfaces, conversions, data migrations and enhancements.
• Maintain custom Oracle applications using Oracle APEX.
• Expand subject matter expertise to provide support to both the DevOps team and our clients.
• Maintain documentation on all work products.
• Support tickets

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 4 years of software development experience preferred.
• 2 years of Oracle development, data modeling and report development experience required.
• Oracle APEX development experience desired.
• Experience in software SDLC practices required.
• Experience in software package testing required.
• Federal procurement experience is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
