Out-patient Registered Dietitian/Community Health RD

Full-Time Opportunity - Suffolk County, NY

1199 Union Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join a well-established nutrition practice to counsel and create nutrition plans to assist in the promotion of health and control of chronic diseases for the Suffolk County community with patients referred by our DOH A-28 outpatient primary care clinics. Must be an effective communicator, experienced in use of Electronic Medical Record and possess enthusiasm for serving the community.

Counseling sessions are thirty-minutes and conducted with patients via our efficient telehealth platform: Doxy.me and/or in person at our Patchogue, Amityville, Brentwood and/or Wyandanch Health Centers.

Monday to Friday hours for in-person counseling with possibility for remote counseling in the future; flexible hours considered.

Applicants must be a Registered Dietitian accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and in good standing. Experience and interest in counseling patients of multicultural backgrounds a plus; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
