Overnight Floor Tech Job at ISS Facility Services (US)
Key Purpose
The Overnight Floor Tech Cleaner will keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in clean and orderly condition. You will work successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization. You are expected to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written; and explain how to complete a task using basic communication skills.
And responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas such as break rooms.

Ideal Candidate Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care.
- Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
- Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
- Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
- Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use
- Secure the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work.
- Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
- Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
- Wall cleaning
- Dusting (high and low)
- Routine restroom cleaning
- Routine office and/or break room cleaning
- Maintenance of floor care equipment
