Spherion is hiring Packagers for a Beaverton client! Various shifts are available, mostly 2nd or 3rd. This may be a temp-hire opportunity after a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic. Candidates will be expected to work in a clean room environment and adhere to strict hygiene requirements (No make-up, no scented lotions/ body sprays, no nail polish/ fake nails. Must wear clean suits and gown up in the locker room before going into the production floor.) Primary tasks include wiping down product with alcohol wipes to sanitize it prior to packaging and shipping (must be able to work around rubbing alcohol smell).
Shifts are: 1st: 8:00am - 4:30p Monday-Friday / 2nd: 4:00pm - 12:00am Monday-Friday / 3rd: 12:00am - 8:30am, Sunday-Thursday OR Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects product for particulate and defects using a light-table.
• Wipe down product with alcohol wipes prior to packaging.
• Hand-coil tubing and pack into bags.
• Packs a variety of parts and seals bags using electric sealer.
• Counts bags and boxes according to customer specifications.
• Works in a clean room fully gowned.

Skills:

• Ability to work in a clean room environment with strict adherence to hygiene guidelines (No make-up, no scented lotions/ body sprays, no nail polish/ fake nails. Must wear clean suits and gown up in the locker room before going into the production floor.)
• Ability to remain on feet for 8-hour shifts with repetitive motions.
• Ability to follow verbal or written directives accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work around smells such as rubbing alcohol used to sanitize products prior to packaging and shipping.

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a clean room environment including exposure to smells such as rubbing alcohol used to wipe down products prior to packaging and shipping.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation in order to demonstrate a reliable attendance record.
