The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center is seeking Part-time Cafeteria Workers for our Willow Street and Mount Joy Campuses!

• Work hours are normally 8:30am - 2:00pm Monday-Friday for the School Year-180 days
• Pay starts at $12.50; may be higher depending on experience!

JOB SUMMARY

The Cafeteria Worker is responsible for stocking, preparing, and serving food as well as cleaning and sanitizing all food service and preparation areas. The cafeteria worker will be trained to use the dishwasher, run the cash register, and to keep track of food and beverage counts. They are responsible to record food and equipment temperatures d aily. The Cafeteria Worker is encouraged to maintain a Serv-Safe certificate.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS/FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities:

Food Preparation

• Prepare food by utilizing kitchen tools to cut, slice, chop, mix, and cook meals. Utilize recipes

Food Service

• Communicate and order food and supply inventory needs and restock shelves with new inventory
• Set up and close down serving line. Serve food to students as part of an assembly line
• Cashiering

Cleaning

• Use soap and hot water to clean and sanitize food preparation and service areas
• Use soap, hot water, and a dishwasher to clean dishes, pots, and other kitchen tools/utensils
• Clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, ovens, storage room, food carts and sweep floors

Transportation

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle within the region may be required
• Ability to transport products between campuses and to contracted vendor sites in the area
• Assist with Day Care deliveries (includes driving delivery van if applicable)

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service attitude
• Ability to obtain required clearances (FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse & Criminal Background), instructions will be provided for this process
• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently on a daily basis
• Valid driver's license preferred
