Job Description:
This position is responsible for packaging materials and finished products according to customer specifications. Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Pulls finished goods off the conveyor belt to fill boxes, cartons and pails following packing instructions on bill of material. Runs job per instructions and asks questions if instructions are not clear.
- Visually inspects finished goods and removes broken or damaged product.
- Visually inspects each container for print color, package quality, wrapper quality and printing quality.
- Performs a count or weighs each carton, container or pallet to ensure the proper amount and product is packaged, places product literature in container, closes and seals container and places container on pallet or in staging area.
- Operates a casing machine to seal containers, shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets and regrind mill.
- Record information such as weight, time, date and completes identification tickets.
- Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.
Qualifications:
- Chemical Manufacturing Industry experience preferred
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 to 100 pounds
