We are hiring for our Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice in Paia - 115 Hana Highway #D, Paia, HI 96779 Maui (3-minute walk to the ocean).

If you have availability FT or PT ( Monday-Friday & must work Thursdays) we should talk. Looking to fill 1 part time shavista / cashier position and 1 full time Shavista / cashier position.

Base pay starting range is $12 to $15 per hour depending on relevant experience. IN ADDITION, cash and charge tips! (Employee's state cash tips can typically range from $3 to $6 or more per hour).

What will you be doing?

• Front of the House (FOH) is responsible for everything from customer service at the counter and cashiering (taking shave ice orders) to working with and supporting the shop and fellow associates with prep and clean-up.
• Build rapport with customers.
• Display an individualized friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• No experience necessary, we offer hands on, paid training. Our dedication to having the best product available is only part of our success. Customer service, Barista, food handling / prep a plus.
• Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 32 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Minimally must be able to lift 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds with or without assistance.
• Ability to operate POS system (iPad).
• Able to push/pull 50 lbs. of weight.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Food handlers certificate a plus.
• Follow Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice established safety, grooming, uniform, jewelry and employee handbook conduct standards.

Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.
