Position Description: Prepares and paints projects as scheduled for the interior and exterior of club property.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pressure washer experience REQUIRED
  • Applies latex and oil paints, and stains, with small to large brushes, rollers, and pads.
  • Applies caulk and putty to cracks, nail holes, and joints.
  • Installs sheetrock, taping, mudding, and sanding to a smooth finish.
  • Applies textured ceilings, operating an air-less sprayer for all types of coatings, properly prepares surfaces for all common coating applications.
  • May work independently and possibly supervise an apprentice painter.
  • Operates pressure washer.
  • Clean up work areas, move furniture and wall hangings as needed.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain the policy of this company to conduct operations in a manner that will prevent injuries to people and damage to property and equipment and that will comply with all applicable regulations for safety and health.
  • Promote and adhere to standards set by the Seabrook Island Club.

Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Valid SC driver’s license required.

Experience: Three or more years of experience in the commercial trade of painter.

Skills: Ability to paint proficiently and complete painting projects within allotted time.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
At times may supervise an apprentice painter.

Equipment to be used: General painting supplies, vehicle, power washer and variety of hand tools and small power tools.

Typical Physical Demands: Must be able to climb and work at a 16 foot height, carry up to 50 pounds, walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist and stand on a ladder for extended periods of time. Requires ability to work in extreme temperatures. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
