Paralegal Job at Progressive Spine and Orthopaedics

Join our growing team of health professionals as a paralegal at busy multi-specialty Orthopaedic Surgical Group/Facility!
Our company is responsible for appealing underpaid and/or denied claims on behalf of out-of-network providers. We are looking for punctual and dedicated team players who have impeccable organization skills and are comfortable on the phone. Candidates must also be able to adhere to strict deadlines. Competitive salary based on experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Following up on submitted medical bills (major med, PIP/MVA, & WC)
- Draft appeal letters on behalf of providers and patients in order to overturn insurance denials/underpayments, and to reduce patient responsibility.
- Answer phones and handle inquiries (i.e. patients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, etc.)
- Communicate with patient attorneys in order to resolve outstanding balances (including negotiating settlements)
- Any and all administrative tasks requested by management.
Experience in medical billing settling and/or legal setting is preferred, but not required.
Experience in an out-of-network office is preferred.
Salary based on experience.
