Seeking a Paramedic to work in our Emergency Department-care for your patients in one location! If you are looking for a fast-paced role with lots of variety, the Waterloo Emergency Department may be the perfect fit for you! Our Level 3 trauma center has 22 beds with 4 behavioral health transition beds.
Through evidence-based practice, under the supervision of a registered nurse or ED providers, provides outcome/goal-based nursing care for patients and assists the Registered Nurse in monitoring, observing and reporting patient response to interventions. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.
Minimum of 1-year ambulance or emergency room experience preferred.
Current certified Iowa EMT-PM or CCP; BLS provider; ACLS; PALS; PHTLS highly recommended. Mandatory Reporter. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire.
