Job Description
Working in the Division of Student Services, the Part Time Administrative Assistant to Enrollment Services reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Services and serves as the primary point of contact in the Enrollment Services Center for all incoming phone calls and walk-in traffic. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to balance institutional traditions and academic integrity with the individual needs of the students and faculty; understand the responsibility to act in accord with guidelines set by the Family Education Right to Privacy Act (FERPA); and exhibit the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, staff, and students.

Job Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serve as receptionist in the Enrollment Services Center, directing phone calls, emails and walk-in traffic to the appropriate personnel or department in an effective and efficient manner.
2. Greet and provide service as needed to customers (students, employees, community) entering the Enrollment Services Center and/or Student Services Center, calling on the phone, or emailing correspondence.
3. Use the Banner SCT, electronic queuing system, ARGOS Reporting, College Scheduler, Degree Works Software and any service software as needed to assist students, faculty and Enrollment Services Staff.
4. Assist Admissions and Financial Aid Department, directing phone calls, emails and walk-in traffic as needed
5. Participate in execution of all Enrollment Services and Student Services Center functions.
6. Be an effective member of the Student Services team by maintaining an effective working relationship with campus personnel, students and the community.
7. Assist students in finding occupational and educational materials.
8. Update the Enrollment Services information library as needed.
9. Prepare professional reports and memos, as assigned.
10. Stay well informed of and adhere to college and campus policies and procedures.
11. Assist in general office functions, sharing duties with other staff personnel.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by Enrollment Specialists, Director of Enrollment Services, and/or Dean of Student Services.

Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY:
M1 A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business and Office Technology or a related field.
M2 Secretarial experience.
M3 Training and/or experience in the operation of personal computers.
M4 Excellent communication skills. M5 Customer service experience.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE:
D1 Experience with SCT Banner or other administrative software.
D2 Experience answering multi-line telephone and directing phone calls.
D3 Experience working with college students in a community college setting.
D4 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. D5 Experience with NOLIJ or other Document Imaging Software.
