Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Part-time Clinical Counselor for EOF for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program.

The candidate would be expected to: Utilize clinical interviews and other metrics and interventions to assess the scope of needs for students seeking support for mental health and/or substance use concerns. In addition, to provide direct, time-limited, clinical services to Educational Opportunity Fund scholars individually and in groups using a holistic wellness model to guide the conceptualization and treatment of a student's mental health and/or substance use needs.

Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2016, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2016, Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Masters degree in counseling, clinical psychology, clinical social work, or related field;
Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist, clinical social worker, clinical alcohol and drug counselor, or professional counselor in the State of New Jersey [Psychologist, LCSW, LCADC, or LPC, LAC, etc.]
Ability to maintain precise record-keeping and confidential documentation of counseling sessions and contacts. Direct experience in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of clinical disorders within DSM-5 criteria including, but not limited to, mood, anxiety, stress, and substance use disorders.
Demonstrate competence in time-limited individual and group counseling within a multicultural, inclusive counseling frameworkDemonstrated understanding of the challenges and stressors facing students from backgrounds of economic and educational disadvantage
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to function independently while balancing a strong team orientation
Understanding of and willingness to support both the Monmouth University and EOF mission

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education, college counseling, or related student development experience in a college setting.
Licensed or license-eligible for independent practice as a psychologist, clinical social worker, clinical alcohol and drug counselor, or professional counselor in the State of New Jersey [Psychologist, LCSW, LCADC, or LPC]
Experience and knowledge working with EOF scholar populationDemonstrated competence in outreach and prevention program planning and implementation
Knowledge of the developmental and adjustment issues relevant to the college population
Demonstrate strong organizational, educational, and presentation skills
