The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities


  • Process Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders by:
    • Organizing and filing PMs and work orders
    • Ordering parts needed and kitting them
    • Updating the weekly PM availability and coordinating with production supervisors to plan time to complete PM
    • Scheduling PMs for all shifts, including weekends
    • Transferring data from the calibration PMs to the server
    • Giving the maintenance engineers PM’s needed updates
  • Assist in work order backlog tracking and completion
  • Assist the maintenance supervisor and maintenance engineer for project planning
  • Assist department calibration equipment coordinator


This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need


  • Ideally candidates will be pursuing a degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline; others may apply
  • Must be a full-time student at a local accredited college/university
  • Graduation date of 2024 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to interpret data and self-direct accordingly
