Work Location:

  • Must commute 2 to 3 days a week to our Corporate Headquarters in Ft Myers, once training is completed. The other work days will be remote.

Job Description Summary:

  • The Patient Experience Advocate is dedicated to improving the patient experience.
  • This position is responsible for providing timely and appropriate assistance and support services as needed with patients, families, and others, and facilitates patient satisfaction efforts to include patient/family complaint/grievance investigations and resolutions.
  • The Patient Experience Advocate will also support staff training, promoting initiatives, and satisfaction survey outcomes.
  • This position provides support in complying with regulations surrounding patient rights and patient grievances.
  • The Patient Experience Advocate will also assist the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department with special projects and will work to minimize risk to the organization with loss of business or reputation, and loss by patient claims that would result from dissatisfied patients.
  • All of this is performed as part of the enterprise risk management program with the intent of controlling and minimizing losses and to protect the assets of the FCS.
  • The Patient Experience Advocate performs these functions at the direction of the Director of Enterprise Risk Management

Position Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Social Work, or related field, required
  • Certifications/Licenses:
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
  • Previous Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the healthcare, social work/social service fields
