Patient Care Associate Pre/Post/PACU Job at Dupont Hospital
- Schedule: Full time, benefit eligible, 40 hours per week, 11:00a-7:30p, Monday-Friday, No weekends or holidays
Under the immediate supervision of the Pre/Post/PACU Manager or other designated management and the clinical leadership of a Registered Nurse, provides clerical services to meet the needs of the nursing unit and assists with direct patient care.
Licensure: Must obtain and maintain:
- BCLS within 30 days of hire
- SAMA Level 1 within 30 days of hire
- Basic EKG within 90 days of hire
Experience: Prefer one year of unit secretary and/or tech experience.
Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Other:
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the role of a Unit Secretary/Technician in relationship with other surgical services Team Members.
Requires a basic understanding of the related behaviors, needs, and comfort measures appropriate to the age (including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) and diagnosis of the patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.
Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
