Position Description
The Patient Care Tech is an unlicensed staff member who supports professional staff in providing care and service to patients and families under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and supports the plan of care for assigned patients.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Candidate must have one the following: Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, Certified Medical Assistant certificate, Direct Patient Care Allied Health certificate, or successful completion of the Nursing Fundamentals from a BSN/MSN program or, a minimum of two years of related experience.
Preferred Requirements
Vocational or technical training or degree in CNA, CMA. 3 years or more of experience in direct patient care in an acute care setting.
