Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the St. Louis region’s top adult hospital. Schedule:
- Evening shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm)
- 40 hours a week, rotating days
- Must work every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Works three major holidays per year

Role Purpose
Ensures for patient safety by remaining at the bedside of the assigned patient(s) and providing continuous observation.
Responsibilities
- Assists patient and care giver with use of simple medical equipment such as hospital bed, bedside commode, wheelchair, walker, and urinary drainage appliances.
- Provides appropriate documentation.
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
