Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI), Chicagoland's premier orthopaedic medical practice with several Chicago and suburban locations, has full-time Patient Services Representative positions at several of our clinics. These positions will be within our MRI departments and the hours will be between 11:30 am - 8:00 pm.

Job Duties:

  • Greeting each patient or visitor to IBJI with a warm and welcoming attitude
  • Providing patients with appropriate paperwork, entering patient information into electronic medical records system, as well as collection of copays and patient balances
  • Anticipating needs of patients and physicians to allow for an efficient experience
  • Additional reception desk duties may include answering general questions and keeping the waiting room presentable
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, relaying messages, and otherwise handling phone calls in a high volume environment
  • Will work closely with the clinical team, as well as billing and insurance specialists to provide the best possible service and care to our patients

Job Requirements:

  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience in a medical setting
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Understands and complies with HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and the G Suite of applications
  • Ability to multitask as well as start and stop tasks due to interruptions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that demands flexibility
  • Must be a team player
  • Fast learner
  • High School diploma or equivalent
