YOUR JOB AS A PATIENT TRANSPORTATION MANAGER:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for coordinating transportation for the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AS A PATIENT TRANSPORATION MANAGER:

  • Manage all aspects of the transportation department including budgets, schedules and staff.
  • Ensure that vehicles are kept in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.
  • Develop and implement programs and best practices to maintain safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Coordinate daily and any on-call schedules to meet patient transportation needs.
  • Maintain vehicle trip inspection records.
  • Hire, orient, train, schedule and supervise transportation staff.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

YOUR SKILSS AND QUALIFICATIONS AS A PATIENT TRANSPORATION MANAGER:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree from a vocational school or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Facility Management preferred.
  • Three or more years’ experience in similar position with one year experience in building maintenance required.
  • One or more years’ supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid State Driver's License required.
