Position Title
Payroll Administrator

Job Duties
The Payroll Administrator will coordinate and oversee the Payroll processing of the College’s monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for 1000+ salaried and hourly employees. This position insures that job, leave, time and deduction information for all college employees is maintained, in addition to directly supervising the payroll specialists. The Payroll Administrator will work closely with the Academic Administrative teams to ensure timely, accurate processing of FLAC (Faculty Load and Compensation). This position will be able to troubleshoot problems and provide training and guidance on system and payroll processes.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills
A. Excellent human relation and organizational skills
B. Proficient skills in Excel and Microsoft office products
C. Attention to detail and accuracy a must
D. HR and Payroll regulations and procedures
E. Excellent computer skills
F. Excellent oral and written communication skills
G. Strong background working with payroll or enterprise systems (Ellucian Banner preferred)
H. Ability to work in a confidential setting

Required experience
A. 3 years prior relevant experience with payroll or enterprise applications (preferably Banner)
B. Human Resources Generalist experience preferred
C. 3 to 5 years progressively responsible payroll/accounting experience required

Required educational background
Associate’s degree required (Associate’s degree required; or in progress for completion). Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting or a related discipline preferred
