Fairview is a non-profit Life Plan Community situated in southeastern CT along the scenic Thames River. We are currently working on Master Planning for a large scale, multi-million-dollar expansion project that will significantly enhance our organizational footprint and service lines. We are currently seeking an experienced, detail oriented and self-motivated Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This candidate will be bright, energetic, fun, and fearless. They will possess an engaging personality who enjoys interacting with a variety of individuals. Naturally, this candidate will possess the appropriate payroll skills and experience to support the Director of Human Resources in carrying out organizational initiatives and strategic plans.
As an integral part our team, this person will report to the Director of Human Resources and will:
· Process weekly payroll for employees of organization utilizing Paymaster (Kronos based platform)
· Maintain and update employee records utilizing Paymaster
· Complete onboarding for all new employees including managing pre-employment process
· Communicate information regarding Fairview’s employee benefit program and employee handbook to assist employees with questions
· Complete all processes related to hiring, status changes & termination of employees
· Complete and send appropriate paperwork to employees for Family Medical Leave & Short and Long Term Disability.
· Assist employees in filing Workman’s Compensation claims as needed
· Respond to employment verifications
· Maintain employee personnel files to be in accordance with all applicable laws filing all documents related to the employee.
· Acts as a resource for Fairview employees and managers
· Keep up to date with required Federal and State labor forms and posters
· Demonstrate basic knowledge of labor laws, both Connecticut and Federal as well as ERISA laws and keeps current on updates.
· Perform other Human Resources functions as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum one year of payroll experience utilizing Kronos
· College degree or experience preferred
· Minimum of one year of Human Resource experience
