Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/ CNA / Med Tech: Middle Shift
Sacred Heart Senior Living is an established senior living community with locations is both Center Valley and Northampton, PA. We are currently looking for energetic, reliable, and caring individuals to assist our Residents with the activities of daily living. Experience Necessary in Memory Unit Care -
Personal Care Aide or Med Techs
Work Shifts available for both full and part time caregivers for all shifts:
Middle Shift caregiver 3pm-11pm Middle Shift Med Tech 2:45pm-11pm
The primary responsibilities of the Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist and encourage residents in activities of daily living.
2. Provide routine physical care such as taking vitals, bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.
3. Assist with ambulation, transfers and positioning.
4. Maintain all health and safety regulations.
5. Participate in ongoing training as required by facility and DHS regulations.
6. Cooperate with direct supervisor and work as a team player.
The primary responsibilities of the Med Tech include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide the same care and responsibilities as a PCA and CNA.
2. Provide accurate administration of medication, treatments, and skin care procedures ordered by physicians.
3. Maintain documentation of resident care needs, incident reports, assessments, and medications errors and report to Administrator.
4. Assess residents and notify Administrator, DOW, physician and families of any changes in physical, mental or emotional status.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED diploma or CNA license
- PCA/CNA experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Med Tech required Med Tech course completion, diabetic certification, and experience, but a new hire will be offered training after PCA training completed
- Applicants must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays
- References and excellent attendance required
- Criminal Background check and pre-employment drug screening conducted
- Reports to Resident Care Director, Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Must be able to read/write/speak English.
