CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA)

The starting hourly rate is $30. Pay is commensurate with pediatric occupational therapy experience.

Our practice draws from empirically-validated, peer-reviewed research to teach communication, motor, play, social and self-care skills, in a fun, child-friendly environment.

We are looking for pediatric certified occupational therapy assistants (COTA) who specialize in the treatment of adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities.

This position involves working with a high school male student. Therapy takes place in his home in Souderton, PA.

The full-time position is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm. The part-time position is 4 pm to 7 pm.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a COTA with pediatric experience
• Experience in analyzing and intervening with adolescents who have behavioral challenges in a treatment or school program.
• Ability, with training, to perform appropriate physical restraint as needed
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with colleagues and supervisors
• Displays an ability to articulate well in both verbal and written communication
• Displays ability to coordinate with others, contributes to instructional knowledge in identifiable and demonstrated ways, helps resolve conflicts when they arise; conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, parents, school personnel, and other professionals.
