Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and/or their designee, the Pediatrician is responsible for providing medical services to the pediatric patient population (0 thru 17 years) of Total Health Care.
Example of Essential Job Functions
- Perform complete physical examinations in the pediatric population and conduct annual health appraisals.
- Participate in the provisions of:
- Perform childcare including EPSDT.
- Out-patient services for pediatric patients.
- On-call services as scheduled.
- Participate in teaching assignments to students as well as clinical studies as determined by the Medical Director and THC.
- Participate in all QI Programs including PEER Reviews.
- Maintain a productivity standard of at least 4000-4200 encounters/year/FTE.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required
Completion of an approved internship program. Completion of at least three (3) years of residency training from an approved accredited program. Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified.
At least 2 years working in an ambulatory clinic setting preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Maryland Medical License – State DEA – Federal DEA
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current CPR certification
