Part-time PEERS Behavioral Coach -Meriden

Thursdays from 4pm-6pm and 1 additional hour per week (flexible on timing and day) from May 26, 2022 through September 8th, 2022.

We are Aspire Living and Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.

We are currently seeking a part-time Behavioral Coach to work in with participants in our Adult Services Division in Meriden, CT who is supportive, enthusiastic, and dynamic to provide social coaching to adults with developmental, physical and or psychiatric disabilities within a group setting. As a Behavioral Coach, you will be responsible for presenting lessons on social skills, modeling skills, and providing feedback to participants.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years of college or associates degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field.
  • Preferred experience working directly with individuals with developmental, physical, or psychiatric disabilities in a behavioral format but not necessary.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of reinforcement, efficiently models skills, provides effective feedback, and possesses strong group management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in order to work cooperatively as part of a clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting role play demonstrations, including demonstration and practice of skills related to dating etiquette.
  • Providing performance feedback through coaching.
  • Providing assistance and support to group coordinating
