THE PEOPLE AND CULTURE COORDINATOR ROLE

The People and Culture Coordinator role focuses on fielding questions related to People and Culture, providing administrative support to the People and Culture team, engaging directly with colleagues, managing People and Culture systems and documentation, and assisting with payroll, benefits, and leave management. The People and Culture Coordinator needs to have great attention to detail and be able to create and submit quality work on not only routine projects but also other tasks that require abstract problem-solving and forethought. This position requires people skills and the ability to focus on serious and confidential information while balancing relationships with the employee community. This role needs to be able to work with and gain the trust of all employees and personalities within the firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PEOPLE AND CULTURE COORDINATOR

The People and Culture Coordinator will report to the People and Culture Manager. Upon joining the firm, the People and Culture Coordinator will focus on providing support to the People and Culture team as well as maintaining the organization of the People and Culture systems and documentation. Subsequently, the People and Culture Coordinator will be expected to perform the following tasks:

Fielding questions related to People and Culture

  • Serving as the first point of contact for all employee questions related to People and Culture
  • Overseeing the firm’s HR inbox and responding to all inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Directing questions to other team members and departments as appropriate

Providing administrative support to the People and Culture Team

  • Supporting the successful onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Updating and implementing organizational systems and administrative workflows
  • Coordinating performance reviews and promotions committees
  • Scheduling support as needed
  • Other administrative support as needed

Coordinating benefits

  • Coordinating benefit enrollment, working with employees and benefit vendors
  • Maintaining benefit enrollment database
  • Planning and executing benefit education sessions, trainings, and onboarding seminars
  • Partnering with the payroll team to ensure accurate benefit deductions

Managing People and Culture systems and documentation

  • Administrating and maintaining the firm’s HRIS, Paylocity, as well as other relevant databases, systems, and documents
  • Maintaining personnel files for current and former employees
  • As appropriate, assisting in the implementation and communication of People and Culture policy changes
Requirements:
