Job Responsibilities:

The People Team Generalist is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources tasks with a primary focus on employee relations, including corrective actions, terminations, investigations and company policies. This role will assist both employees and management with questions related to company policies, practices and regulations, as well as, maintain documents relating to human resource activities and investigations. Position will work with other HR team members to ensure that our internal customers are serviced timely and efficiently. The role will be required to perform HR related administrative task and report writing/analytics, as well as communicate with all levels of employees within the company.

  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
  • Manage employee relations concerns, including providing coaching and guidance and assist with investigations as needed
  • Working with site to further employee engagement
  • Analyzing and interpret policies, guidelines and data to ensure consistency and fairness
  • Working as part of the HR Team to ensure excellent service to all employees that we support
  • Assisting with the facilitation of new hires throughout the on-boarding process
  • Answering employee questions related to human resources
  • Participating and conducting site wide and HR related meetings; including round table discussions
  • Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Assisting with all employee and administrative processes throughout the HR department
  • Records management, including employee files
  • Working with People Team Director to ensure all corrective actions and terminations are managed in a fair and equitable manner
  • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ensuring the timely follow through of interactions with employees and management and ensuring a high attention to detail
  • Assist with reports, metrics and analytics for the local HR department
  • Answering basic benefits and payroll questions from employee population as needed
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public
  • Manages the leave and accommodation process for the site
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position
  • Performing other related duties as required and assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of Human Resources experience, or five or more years of experience in a Human Resources generalist role, or a combination of education and experience
  • Advanced abilities in follow-through, organization and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Must be extremely confidential while working with a wide range of people and information
  • Must be flexible and able to work varying hours
  • Prior employee relations and investigation experience
  • High Volume Contact Center experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
  • Must be customer focused and comfortable functioning in a business partner role
  • Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • PH/ HRCI certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of HR related laws, such as ADA, FMLA, and FLSA
