Tellers process a wide variety of duties to meet customer needs by processing banking transactions between consumer and commercial customers and the Bank efficiently and accurately. Tellers must provide exceptional customer service while handling routine inquiries and problems. An in depth understanding and working knowledge of Bank products and services are the main responsibilities of the Tellers’ daily duties. Tellers also complete compliance record keeping requirements. The Schedule may include Saturdays, holidays, and may require short distance travel to other Bank branches.

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. All employees are expected to protect assets and information of the Bank.

Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned)

· Maintain working funds per Bank policy, in regard to cash limits and cash balances per drawer

· Complete an accurate balancing of teller cash drawer and vault daily

· Process transactions including but not limited to, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, transfers, mail deposits, process night deposits, verify balances, endorse Bank instruments, redeem Savings Bonds, issue Money Orders and Cashiers’ Checks, process holds, and inform customers on Bank products and fees

· Issue renewal license plate stickers

· Process Real Estate Tax Payments

· Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Discuss routine problems and inquires regarding our Bank products

· Verify and package cash and coin

· Refer customers to Bank products and services

· Maintain a working knowledge of branch equipment

· Balance ATM; prove deposits, maintain cash levels, and receipts

· Prepare, scan, and file various Bank forms

· Identify fraudulent and counterfeit transactions and instruments

· Compliance with all Bank policies, regulations, and laws regarding Teller duties

· Attend teller and employee meetings as well as annual teller trainings

· Maintain required supplies as needed

Qualifications and Skill: The duties listed below are representative of the skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform this job successfully.

Education/Experience:

· High School or equivalent (Preferred)

· Cash Handling (1 year Preferred)

· Customer Service (1 year Preferred)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient organizational skills

· Willingness to adjust to changing work conditions or schedules

· Dependable

· Detail oriented

· Able to relate in a personable manner with people

· Team player

· Able to make sound decisions

· Able to promote Bank products while providing financial education

· Proficient communication skills

· Proficient analytical skills

· Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

· Must understand and comply with laws, policies, and procedures

Job Type: Part-time
