Overview:
We're looking for a dynamic systems application developer/engineer with around 2-4 years of PHP systems application background. The individual will have developed and deployed (or had major participation in) systems application systems. These applications may have been for internal or external consumption. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to take requirements and direction and help turn these into working systems. It is expected that the candidate will be comfortable with both team-based collaboration, as well as being able to demonstrate a willingness to take on individual projects.
We are small to medium-sized (but growing) e-commerce business (SMB), that is a very dynamic organization. You would be joining a focused software development team. We develop a combination of both client-orientated web e-commerce platforms, as well as creating large-scale manufacturing internal automation systems.
Skills:
Must have:
- PHP server application development
- MySQL database design and evaluation
- Working with both REST APIs and WebHook intersystem communications
- Unix / Linux background
Structured requirements/development background
- Experience in breaking down requirements and estimating development tasks.
- JavaScript / ECMAscript
- CSS Frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strongly desired:
- Symfony PHP server application framework
Advantageous:
- Javascript 'Express' framework
- Javascript 'Handlebars' template framework
- node.js
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce and Shopify
