Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, Washington is recruiting BE/BC Physiatrists. Position highlights The section of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking BC/BE, fellowship trained physiatrists to join their coordinated team approach to spine care and rehabilitation. The section provides musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation services as well as a cancer rehabilitation and work conditioning program with a full complement of rehabilitation providers. This position is 100% outpatient and will primarily focus on conservative and interventional spine physiatry. We have opportunities for a practice that combines several days in Downtown Seattle and Bellevue, WA or Federal Way, WA. These positions are a part of our growth and quality strategy for spine care putting physiatrists intentionally in the forefront of spine care. We have unparalleled working relationships with our spine surgery, pain and therapy teams and strive to deliver high-quality multidisciplinary care. Our section has been instrumental in the award winning team-based "Seattle Spine Clinic" approach to managing patients with spine conditions (http://www.spine-deformity.org/article/S2212-134X(13)00198-6/abstract). We are seeking strong enthusiastic physiatrists who can embrace change, possess strong leadership traits and who can become an integral partner of our team. Teaching and research opportunities are available and an interest in outcomes research and systems-based approaches is a plus. A good sense of humor is a plus. - Interventional spine with on-site spine surgery team - Integrated therapy/physiatry spine clinic - Teaching and research opportunities available - Quality improvement work ongoing and ability to pursue additional training

Qualifications

  • BE/BC in specialty - Fellowship trained in spine/interventional pain management
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

Pay Range

$156.25 - $168.27 /hour
