Central Valley Kidney Center is looking for a Full Time/Part Time Nephrology/Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner who is supporting patients who are dealing with a serious illness.

• We are located in Central California with easy access to outdoor mountain activities, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Yosemite and Las Vegas.
• 100% outpatient with a mix of scheduled and walk in patients.
• New graduates will gain experience and feel supported by our team of experienced providers.
• Experienced NPs will benefit from our efficient patient flow and established practice.
• Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations.
• Setting up and monitoring medical equipment.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Communicating test results to patients and their families.
• Recording patient medical histories.
• Operating and maintaining medical equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• You must have reliable means of transportation.
• The position allows for some scheduling flexibility.
• Examine patients and their medical records.
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention.
• Oversee patients' overall health.
• Promote good health practices.
• Advance professional knowledge.
• Candidates can be newly graduated or have proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a hospital or ER.
• Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices.
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ethics.
• Team spirit with a positive attitude.
• Patience and cool-headedness.
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience.
• Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
• Board Certification, California licensure and DEA required.
