Transglobal Door in our Carey, Ohio location is currently searching for a reliable Plant Engineer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Plant Engineer’s role consists of, but not limited to, the following:

· Create plant layout for new production lines

· Lead installation and start-up of new equipment

· Programming of production equipment

· Support OE activities such as run-at-rate studies, PFEMA, QMS

· Conduct time studies and process efficiency evaluations

· Assist in collection/evaluation of process performance data

· Lead process/quality improvement projects

· Train operators in use of equipment, tools, fixtures and gages

· Design & build fixtures, templates and tooling to aid and improve production processes

· Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing of production equipment

· Conduct root cause analysis/correction activities for process/quality issues

· Keep accurate documentation of all processes and procedures supporting the plant.

· Analyze data to detect deviations from the standards.

· Submit detailed reports as needed.

· Be the driver of the continuous improvement in the plant.

Required Education and/or Experience:

• College Diploma (2-3 year) or University Degree (4-year) in Engineering, Mathematics, Technology, Science or Design - recommended
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing role - required
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of Team Leader or Management experience in manufacturing plant - recommended

Required Skills & Abilities:

· Competent in use of Autocad 2D design software

· Experience in operation/troubleshooting of industrial equipment

· Capable of learning to program new machine control systems

· Familiar with conducting time studies/waste elimination activities

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Proficiency with standard MS applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Reporting Relationships:

The Plant Engineer- Carey Plant reports directly to the Senior Engineering Manager for Transglobal Door

Working Conditions:

Primary work location will be based out of TG- Carey plant in Ohio with some time allocated to the TG- Upper Sandusky plant in Ohio. (10mi. apart)

This work is performed in a manufacturing environment that requires working in production floor, warehouse facilities and office.

Travel is necessary and will be expected, <20% of the time, which may include overnight stays. This includes any location requesting OEM support or manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
