Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering

is in search of a Hospital Building Maintenance Engineer II.

The ideal candidate is a Boiler Operator with high pressure steam license and/or 1st Class Stationary Engineer license preferred. General knowledge of building systems with deeper knowledge of HVAC systems. Will work independently covering building repair responsibilities including escalation to other service providers. Experience in hospital and healthcare environments preferred. Experience in triaging malfunctioning steam and HVAC system and performing repairs. Good communications skills mandatory with a strong command of the English language. Ability to use computer based building automation system to command equipment on/off and interpret alarms.
Education and Work Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Up to five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
  • Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
  • Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc.).
  • Valid state driver's license.
