JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Manager of Production and Operating Workers will oversee front-line employees to ensure efficiency and quality in production operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Involved with Human Resources for hiring and training employees.
  • Develop and maintain a “World Class” manufacturing team.
  • Organizes, directs and oversees the schedules and work of all employees within your facility.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Involved with HR on discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborates with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
  • Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data.
  • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
  • Ensures compliance with IATF regulations, guidelines, and best practices including audits and day to day activities. i.e. first piece samples at every work station, boundary samples etc.
  • Ensures compliance with customer releases and timelines i.e. Ontime deliveries.
  • Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaborates with other departmental managers to develop and execute budget.
  • Monitor (establish) a daily tracker for efficiency, quality, manpower hours, and dollars (% Profit and/or Loss) shipped.
  • Implement and oversee maintenance for all machines in your facility.
  • Oversee all plant related appearance and cleanliness issues and address with leaders, maintenance and upper management.
  • Facility should be ready at any time for a customer to walk through at any time.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Develop, enforce and train employees of standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Plex or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Equivalent industry work experience required or; Associate’s degree in related field, Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
