Manager of Plant Operations – The Beverwyck - Full Time

St. Peters Health Partners is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Facilities Manager to manage, monitor and maintain building infrastructure and equipment at one of our premier sites which includes, independent living, assisted living and nursing homes. This large site sits on 60 acres in Bethlehem, NY, the primary goal is to manage all aspects of facility and equipment management including facility expansion, facilities and equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and apartment refurbs. The position will provide opportunities to collaborate with highly talented people in St Peters Health Partners facilities team.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience in facilities maintenance & management experience, with an emphasis on experience in a senior living facility and independent living which is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with residents, building staff and external contractors.
  • Hands on skills and experience with facilities and equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Experience in managing a wide range of associates with various skill sets.
  • Familiarity with New York State department of Health regulations and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in developing and performing schedule preventive maintenance on facilities/equipment.
  • Experience with building management and work order systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Facilities Manager will report to the Director of Facilities for Continuing Care.

Responsibilities:

Works with building residents, staff and departmental assets to keep facility well serviced and maintained.

  • Supervises Facility mechanics and other staff in support of facility.
  • Responsible for building systems and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation and performance.
  • Performs occasional hands-on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Works with lead members of department and facility to provide input and feedback on future equipment selection, infrastructure allocation and performance standards.
  • Works to identify specialty vendors and contractor for the service, maintenance and upgrades to equipment as needed.
  • Works to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, spare parts, and operator’s manuals for facilities and equipment.
  • Actively recommends and participates in continuous improvement and quality activities to assure the facility and equipment meets performance standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Moving objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps and the like.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish task in various environments.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Assessing the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of work.
  • Operate machines and power tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,500.00 - $106,000.00 per year
