PLC Automation Technician
2nd Shift /3rd Shift Flex position
(Transition to 2nd shift in the future (possible weekends depending upon demand))

Pay: $35 to $45 an hour depending upon experience

Maintenance Technician - Kelly Engineering a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a long-term engagement. POSITION OVERVIEW

• Mechanical and electrical work in the maintenance and repair of light to medium duty packaging, processing, and building equipment such as conveyors, elevators, blowers, sifters, burners, grinders, conventional high-speed packaging machines, labeling/printing equipment, vacuum hydraulic pumps, cargo elevators, forklifts, and air compressors.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects, repairs, and performs overhauls on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic hydraulic components, motor control center devices, transport conveyor systems and rotating, cutting, grinding equipment.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and other precision instruments to determine working clearances on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Troubleshoots and repairs motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives and sub-electrical panels utilizing volt and amp meters.
• Performs typical building maintenance repairs through assigned work orders.
• Performs machine shop duties such as general metal fabrication, welding, and machining.
• Requisitions shop supplies and equipment such as replacement parts, hardware, lubricants, tools, testing instruments and gauges
• Performs related work as assigned or required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of the principles of electronic, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components found in industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards, safety precautions and inspection techniques of repairing and operating equipment in the industrial industry.
• Skill in the use of tools, machines and testing instruments used in the repair and overhaul of plant equipment and building services.
• Ability to apply knowledge of equipment operating principles to diagnose and correct malfunctions in plant equipment.
• Ability to use knowledge, creativity, and initiative in recommending or implementing improvements in servicing methods, tools, and equipment.
