Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Electrical division is currently seeking a Plumber to join our third shift team. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility. This role will start at $30.39/hr.

In this function you will:

• Plan and perform all required operations to install, maintain and repair water, steam, oil, air, gas, acid, sanitary waste, waste water, sprinkler, pressure and piping systems; pumps, motor sets, heating and air conditioning equipment and related apparatus in plant, office and yard areas.
• Use a normal range of hand tools and pipe fitting machinery to bend, thread and cut pipe.
• Make up brackets, braces, hangers, etc. and perform necessary operations to secure and assure permanence of installed equipment.
• Make soil pipe connections, vent traps properly and perform all work in conformance to plumbing codes.
• Replace motorized and regulative control equipment for steam and hot water; make minor repairs.
• Must be familiar with plumbing and piping codes; able to read schematics, identify common symbols on drawings and follow plumbing piping diagrams.
• Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.

Qualifications - Internal

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• Relocation benefit is being offered for this position

Preferred qualifications:

• Journeymen's certification or 3 years Plumbing experience
• Ability to problem solve and understand mechanical equipment
• Experience with hydraulics
