Policy Analyst Job at Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc.
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Policy Analyst to support the Ending of the HIV Epidemic (EHE) project in the Los Angeles County area. Staff for this project will help implement the strategies, reach the goals, and provide the day-today operation of these four key EHE Pillars:
1) diagnose people with HIV as early as possible,
2) treat people with HIV quickly and effectively,
3) prevent new HIV diagnoses
4) respond to HIV outbreaks to engage people in HIV prevention or treatment services as quickly as possible.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through October 31, 2023.
Pay Rate-
$7,221 per month

Job Duties
Provides legislative research, policy analysis, policy impact evaluation, written reports, legislative updates, and support for the Los Angeles County, Department of Public Health, Division of HIV and STD Programs (DHSP). Under the direct supervision of the Director, DHSP, the Policy Analyst plays a key role in executing public health policy strategy and contributing to the overall success of the HIV/STD programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public policy, social services, health administration or similar disciplines.
AND
Four years of experience in the analysis of public health or public health programs, two years of which must have been at the level of a Policy Analyst. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public policy, social services, health administration or similar discipline. May be substituted for one year of the required experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
A Bachelors or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to Public Health, Health Policy, or a related field.
Experience working with community advocacy groups and local, state, and federal policy partners.
Experience working with HIV/AIDS and/or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) public health policies and programs
Additional experience beyond these requirements.
