We are seeking a senior-level Policy Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO) which is responsible for serving as the Secretary’s representative for all security-related matters, advising the Secretary on security-related issues affecting DHS personnel, information technology, communications systems, facilities, property, equipment, and other material resources. The Enterprise Security Services Division (ESSD) offers services to manage and provide information technology operations support, provide oversight of program implementations, and ensure compliance.
ESSD is undergoing an organizational restructuring, along with the implementation of various technology enhancements. OCSO ESSD is responsible for the operations and management of the two-enterprise information technology (IT) systems known as the Integrated Security Management System (ISMS) and the Identity Management System (IDMS).
Position Responsibilities:
- Applies in-depth knowledge on policy that governs ICAM activities.
- Develops and maintains policy across all ICAM business areas to align all agencies with DHS strategic goals.
- Operates in an advisory role to ensure Program compliance for ICAM related policy and guidance.
- Briefs internally and externally to promote knowledge of policy and its relation to DHS strategic goals.
- Conducts policy/security compliance reviews and assessments.
- Creates and keeps up to date Privacy Impact Statements (PIA) and System of Records Notices to describe privacy information stored, shared, or used to comply with the Privacy Act.
- Works with stakeholders to communicate policies and their implementation.
