Job Summary
Prep Cooks are responsible for the day-to-day production & preparation of food items hot and cold.
Duties and Responsibilities

- All Cooks will maintain a clean work environment and minimize food waste.
- Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked.
- Follow prep lists created by Executive Chef.
- Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
- Assist chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
- Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
- Clean prep areas and ensuring proper food storage.
- Label & stock inventory and supplies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Have proficient communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and courtesy.
- Ability to replicate recipes consistently with few / no mistakes
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work in the United States and meet criminal background standards.
- Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance and wear provided uniform as required
Language Skills:
- Literacy and ability to communicate effectively in English preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Additional language(s) desirable.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, mathematical, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
- SafeServ Food Handlers card.
