This is an hourly position. Monday- Friday

Job Summary: Assist preschool teachers and substitute as needed. Candidates must have the ability to contribute towards providing a loving and developmentally appropriate learning environment. They will work closely with the school team ensure student success on a daily basis.

REQUIRED Experience and Training:

- Minimum 1 year in an early childhood education environment

-MUST meet the DCF 45 hour state mandated training requirement and have a current record of continuing education training hours.

Essential Job Functions:

- Must be creative, have problem solving skills, be able to multi task, and be a true team player.

-Willing to assist in preparing instructional materials and support daily lessons.

-Understand the characteristics of 3 and 4 year olds

-Able to assist in effectively managing the classroom and model positive behavior conducive to a healthy learning environment.

-Must be willing to participate in extracurricular activities that support our school.

REQUIRED Qualifications:

-Present a positive image of the school to the community

-Possess solid communication skills, effectively collaborate with others and finish tasks in a timely manner.

-Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to school/student matters

-Experienced with using classroom technology (Tablets, smart boards, Parent Portal Software program).
