Currently Hiring Full-Time Preschool Teachers to start ASAP

At The Child Development Center, we are currently interviewing and hiring energetic, creative, and loving assistant teachers to join our teaching team as soon as possible. We are a NAEYC accredited and a 4 Star Texas Rising Star preschool located in Southwest Austin. As an established non-profit preschool, our primary focus is on children, families, and staff.

As part of our commitment to our teachers we provide:

  • Approximately 5+ paid weeks off per year for full time employees -- we offer generous paid holidays (17 Days, including Spring Break & extended Winter Break) and an additional 10 days of PTO

Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star
  • Supporting children’s learning by implementing the lesson plan
  • Communicating with families both verbally and in writing
  • Active engagement with students and participation in classroom activities at all times
  • Assist lead teacher as needed
  • Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning

Qualifications:

  • Preferred ~ 1+ years of teaching experience
  • Preferred ~ CDA or Associates Degree
  • Required ~ High School Diploma or GED
  • Required ~ Candidates must meet all TDFPS requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50+ pounds
  • General computer proficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
