Happy Days Learning Center Seeks Nurturing Preschool Teacher

Full-Time Preschool Teacher: Our play-based school with lots of outdoor play space, seeks an early childhood educator who has a genuine passion for working with preschoolers and who is nurturing, energetic, flexible, and creative. Happy Days is looking for that special individual with the ability to provide for the emotional and physical needs of early learners. If you love kids, have a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education, and like working in a collaborative environment, we would love to have you join our team. This is a full-time position working with our 4s and 5s.

About Happy Days:

Happy Days Learning Center is a year-round pre-school and school-aged children's program. We have been providing a quality educational experience to the community for more than 30 years. Our nurturing environment provides developmentally appropriate play and learning activities for children ages 2 to 11.

At Happy Days each child is accepted and valued as a unique individual that is allowed and encouraged to develop at his or her own pace. Our school-year curriculum is centered around themes that are of high interest to kids, and includes storytelling, arts & crafts, fine motor activities, music & movement, outdoor play, imaginative play, pre-reading and writing skills and cooking activities. During the summer we take a journey around the world, learning about the culture, traditions and food of places around the globe. Holidays and cultural celebrations are big at Happy Days.

Our large and tranquil campus with lots of outdoor play space, is conveniently located in Lafayette, with easy access to highways 24 and 680.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units is a must
• Enthusiastic and flexible team player
• Consistent record of minimum absences and few tardies
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent references
• COVID vaccination required

All applicants must provide documents proving eligibility to work as well as licensing required criteria such as educational transcripts, health screening and a clear TB test before work begins.

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep staff and kids safe, we have implemented shorter open hours, extra cleaning routines, curb side drop-off/pick-up, health and temperature screenings, and changes to our snack and lunch policies. We are also keeping staff and kids in stable groups.
