Prevention Specialist Job at Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc.
AMHC Is excited to announce the opening of the new Prevention Specialist position in Washington County. The Prevention Specialist will provide youth prevention programming and initiatives to build young people’s resilience and strengthen youth leadership. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with other AMHC staff who are currently offering school-based youth services, as well as working with the identified community partners to meet program goals and expectations. The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate the core values of AMHC by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.
Qualifications:
- A Highschool diploma AND 2 years of experience working with youth is required
- A bachelor's degree in a relatable field is preferred
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Provide prevention programming that works in Collaboration with District Youth Coordinator and staff from community partners to ensure Service focus care that is consistent and continuous.
- Maintain accountability to goals to demonstrate the Excellence in service offered with measurable goals to uphold the Integrity of AMHC.
- Develop and Maintain Respectful relationships with external contacts.
- Travel through Washington and Hancock counties to provide Compassionate prevention services.
Schedule:
- This is a 40-hour per week non-exempt position
- All AMHC Employment requires Covid vaccination
