Prosper Portland seeks an experienced governmental accountant who will apply their knowledge and skill in governmental accounting, audits and financial reporting to support the Finance Team in the accurate and timely creation of the agency's financials. This position will perform complex reconciliations and oversee the design and implementation of a variety of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have an analytical disposition, and a passion for collaborating with others. The successful candidate will be vital member of a team that supports the agency's work to realize equitable prosperity for the City of Portland. They will possess comprehensive accounting skills with demonstrated experience in Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines. This person will also be a strong communicator, a team-oriented contributor, a solutions creator and possess a commitment to racial and social equity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $6,840.09 - $9,007.14 per month

COVID-19 considerations:
Prosper Portland requires all staff to have received their primary series of vaccinations against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption. Normal hours Monday through Friday [8 AM – 5 PM] in a combination of in office and remote setting.
