In this role, you will:
  • Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) is the Capital Markets and Investment Banking division of Wells Fargo Bank, NA. The Electronic Trading (eTrading) technology division delivers real-time trading platform for Equities, FX, Rates and Spread businesses. We are seeking candidates in one or more areas of technology platform in areas of:
  • Algorithmic Trading - Build algorithmic trading strategies, develop ALGO container, develop order state machine, integrate container with reference data, order management system, market data, position management and smart order routers. This platform will need experience in JAVA and/or C++ programming language and good understanding of Equities and/or FX/Rates market structures.
  • Smart Order Router - Build trading strategics and tactics, develop a SOR (Smart Order Router) container, develop order state machine, integrate container with reference data, ALGO platform, market data, position management and exchange/venue connectivity platform. This platform will need experience in C++ programming language and good understanding of Cash Equities market structures.
  • Dealer to Dealer - Build Order Management Systems. Integrate the flow with trading GUIs, and exchange/venue/client connectivity platform. This platform will need experience in JAVA programming language.
  • Dealer to Client - Build Offering/Quotation streaming, RFQ (Request for Quote), Auto-Responder for RFQ, and client specific business logic. Integrate the flow with trading GUIs, and exchange/venue/client connectivity platform. This platform will need experience in JAVA programming language.
  • Exchange/ECN/ATS connectivity - Build connectivity to various Exchanges, ECNs, and Alternative Trading Systems, for market data, order/execution, Offering/Quotation streaming, RFQ (Request) for Quote and post-trade feeds. This platform will require experience in JAVA and/or C++ programming languages.
  • Data, Analytics and AI/ML - Build data capture in time-series data warehouse, develop front-office trading analytical solutions, regulatory compliance reporting and work on machine-learning platforms for predictive pricing. This platform will require programming in Python/Java, knowledge of data science technology platforms, and advance statistical analysis experience.
  • Core Technology - Building high capacity, high throughput and low latency platform for messaging involving shared memory, TCP/IP and multicast transports, efficient data caching and distribution, single and multi-threading, and data synchronization. This platform will require experience in JAVA and/or C++ programming languages.
  • QA-Automation - Build automated regression testing harnesses, with keen focus on stress testing in Python and Java.
  • The candidate will be a senior systems engineer and technology expert delivering business and technology features in one or more asset classes in Equities, FX, Rates and Spread, and in one or more areas of the technology platforms in the eTrading space as listed above

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in eTrading platform development in one or more asset classes in Equities, FX, Rates and Spread.
  • 5+ years Knowledge in product and domain experience in one or more asset classes in Equities, FX, Rates and Spread.
  • 5+ years of experience in eTrading platform module development in one or more development areas of ALGO, Smart Order Router, Dealer to Client Flows, Exchange/ECN/ATS connectivity, Data/Analytics/AI/ML, and/or core technology.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of SEC, FINRA and International Regulations in building technological solutions.
  • Knowledge on building trading risk controls.
  • Good background in statistics.
  • Extensive firsthand experience in building large scale platforms in one or more of the following programming languages - JAVA, C++, Python.
  • Ability to collaborate with traders and quants on requirements formulation.
  • Knowledgeable in Exchange/ECN/ATS FIX protocol for transactional flows.
  • Knowledgeable with market data protocols.
  • Infrastructure (Server hardware, Memory, Network Cards, Storage and Networking) knowledge for low latency needs.
  • Server and desktop hardware knowledge.
  • Linux Operating system constructs in memory management, file systems and networking.
  • Working knowledge in machine-learning tools and packages.
  • JavaScript programming language.
  • Knowledge in Windows Operating system calls and features are an additional plus.
  • Data Modeling experience along with Big Data integration approach and implementation.
  • Knowledge with vendor systems around messaging, data caching and in-memory databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of core computer science topics in algorithms and data structure.
  • Familiarity with machine-learn platforms and tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, SciPy, NumPy, PySpark, etc.
  • Cloud technology experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
Pay Range
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual
