Nursing Assistant

You will be responsible for supporting the nurse in providing direct patient care. Our patients are Sisters who have devoted their lives to the care of others. This is a small 34 bed facility with low patient to staff ratios.

Position Qualifications:

Required

· Valid CNA or STNA certification

· Current basic life support training

· Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with a broad range of employees and external contacts

· Solid computer skills

· Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs

Preferred

· Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization strongly preferred

· Understanding and appreciation of the traditions and culture associated with the Sisters of Mercy

· Familiarity with the Catholic Church structures and teaching
