We have a great opportunity for an Process Engineer to join our Team! Farrel Pomini is a global leader in the research, design and manufacturing of continuous mixing systems for the polymer processing industry. We are conveniently located in a new facility off Route 8 in Ansonia, CT. Farrel Pomini is looking for an Process Engineer who will be responsible for assising with the design, set up, operation, control, and evaluation of the performance capabilities of existing and new Company machinery.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

• Direct interaction with all technical arms of the Company, such as product development, engineering, manufacturing, controls, and sales in the achievement of specific targeted objective for a variety of polymer compounding applications.
• Supporting the Laboratory in the setup, operation, evaluation and required modification of the process and or the machinery to meet specific product quality and productivity objectives.
• Most of the time will be spent in the laboratory and in customer facilities where performance and development work will be conducted.
• Carrying out project assignments relating to the operation and processing capabilities of existing and new concept compounding machinery.
• Writing and presenting reports on assigned projects.
• Attending technical trade shows as well as preparing and presenting of technical papers is encouraged.
• Working with other process engineers in directing technician with the set up and running of CMBU processing machinery.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of a BS in Engineering or chemical discipline with 3+ years industrial experience.
• Experience in the design and operation of rubber and plastics compounding machinery
• Strong knowledge of plastic materials and common tests used to determine quality.
• The ability to interact with team members of different disciplines to achieve targeted results.
