Description:Golden Queen Mining Company, LLC (the “Company”) is operating a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.
The Company is seeking Process Operator IV for its Soledad Mountain Project (the “Project”) in Mojave. The Process Operator IV will perform the day to day operation of the Merrill-Crowe Plant and Heap Leach Pad. This position reports to the Process Supervisor. This is a safety sensitive position.
Major Responsibilities

• Perform the day to day operation of the Merrill-Crowe Recovery Plant, including assisting in the refinery and heap leach pad as needed;
• Monitor and balance solution flows from the heap leach pad to the pump box and Merrill-Crowe Plant;
• Monitor and optimize gold and silver recoveries using an AA analyzer and make appropriate changes as needed;
• Perform inspections periodically throughout the shift of the entire heap leach facility to insure solution containment;
• Perform solution analyses for solution grade, CN concentration and pH periodically throughout the shift;
• Perform minor equipment repairs as needed;
• Perform the day to day operation of the water system;
• Assists with training of new process operators;
• Assist with the development of methods and procedures;
• Perform all work in a manner to achieve a zero level of incidents in the process department;
• Participate in process department safety meetings; and
• Offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement of heap leach facility operations.

Requirements:

• Experience in heap leach and Merrill-Crowe operations required;
• Experience with operation and maintenance of processing equipment including but not limited to pumps, piping, clarifiers and filter presses;
• Good computer skills preferred;
• Experienced in metallurgical and environmental procedures and quality controls;
• Effective communication skills, as well as solid interpersonal and problem solving skills;
• High work standards and a professional presence and
• Must be results-oriented and a solid team member with the ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision;
• Driver’s license is required
• High school diploma or a GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.82 - $34.09 per hour
